Young Knight athletics include football, volleyball, cheer, basketball, swimming, track, softball & baseball. Eighth graders can also try out for CHS JV teams. Major emphasis is devoted to sportsmanship, healthy competition, and becoming a positive team player.

What's New With CMS Sports

Track Practices Postponed Until 3/24

Unfortunately, track has been postponed and will start on Tuesday, March 24th. CHS has a tree removal project over the next two weeks and only half of the track will be available during those two weeks. If the project finishes early, we will notify everyone that we are starting earlier than the proposed March 24th date.

Home Game Ticket Prices

  • 10 and under: Free
  • CMS students: Free tickets available at lunches (otherwise $2)
  • 11-17 (non-CMS student): $3
  • 18-64: $4
  • 65 and older: Free 

Student Eligibility & Forms

Eligibility

To be eligible for a sport, a student must maintain passing grades in all classes. There will be weekly grade checks. See Athletic Handbook for details.

Transportation

Students staying after school for activities may ride the activity school bus home. School buses are also provided for student athletes going to CHS for practice. An activity bus will leave CHS after practice times to drop students off at various stops around the city.

To be able to ride home from games with another family, students must have a “Permission to Ride” form on file.
